The PLAI Central Visayas Librarians Regional Council is organizing a two-day seminar workshop in Bohol and Cebu.
The Title of the Workshop is IFLA/FAIFE Internet Manifesto Trainers Workshop and Write-shop with the theme "Education and the Internet: The Way to the Future. The seminar workshop aims to:
* Enable librarians to understand the impact brought by the Internet to
libraries
* Provide an overview of the Internet Manifesto vis-a-vis the library policy on the use of the Internet as a tool for research
* Guide librarians on how to write formulate SMART Library Internet Policy based on the vision and mission of the institution/company and in consonance with Art. 19 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The schedule of the activities are as follows:
Cebu: July 17-18, 2009 at Fr. Theodore Buttenbruch Hall, University of San Carlos, Main Campus
Bohol: July 29-20, 2009 (venue will be announced later)
