The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc- Central Visayas Region Librarians Council is encouraging all Professional Librarians from Cebu, Negros Occidental, Bohol, and Siquijor to attend in the PLAI, Inc. Conference and General Assembly at Hotel Elizabeth, Baguio City from November 16-18, 2011. This year’s conference theme is “Libraries for Progress.” Each participant is assessed Four Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (Php4,500.00) inclusive of lunches, snacks, kits, certificates and fellowship dinner. PLAI-National, is applying for CPE credit units likewise will request Commission on Higher Education, (CHED) Department of Education (DepED), and the Civil Service Commission for attendance on official time.

PLAI CVRLC Mid-Year Congress

The PLAI Central Visayas Librarians Regional Council (CVLRC) is organizing a Mid-Year Congress on September 16-17, 2011 at 8:00 AM, Sarroza International Hotel, F. Cabahug St., Mabolo, Cebu City, with the theme “Collection Security Management vis a vis Librarian’s Responsibility”.

This congress intends to update librarians, administrators and all other information users on the current trends in accessing digitized information sources as well as make librarians more aware of their responsibilities in ensuring the security and protection of library resources.

The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI) regional chapter (CVRLC 7) for Central Visayas will hold its Mid-Year Congress on September 16 and 17, 2011 at the Sarroza International Hotel, F. Cabahug St., Mabolo, Cebu City, with the theme “Collection Security Management vis a vis Librarian’s Responsibility.”
This congress intends to update librarians, administrators and all other information users on the current trends in accessing digitized information sources as well as make librarians more aware of their responsibilities in ensuring the security and protection of library resources. Each participant will be assessed a registration fee of Ph 2,000.00 (cash only) to cover the costs of the venue, honoraria and travel expenses of resource speakers, lunch and snacks for the participants, handouts and certificates.
